On February 23rd and 24th, 2022, the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Service of the São João University Hospital Center, led by its Director, Professor Dr. Guilherme Macedo, welcomed the visit of Professor Dr. Benedetto Mangiavillano, Chief of Digestive Endoscopy at the Italian Humanitas Mater Domini Hospital and international specialist in EUS, LAMS, and ERCP procedures.
Under the guidance of Prof. Mangiavillano, an international specialist in the Taewoong Medical's self-expanding endoscopic stents Hot Spaxus, represented by ECODANUSA, Professor Susana Lopes successfully performed the 1st Hot Spaxus case in Portugal for draining pancreatic collections!
Congratulations to the medical and nursing team of CHSJ and, of course, to the Ecodanusa Team who facilitated the contact between Professors Macedo and Mangiavillano, thus opening up the introduction of new possibilities in a service of excellence and national reference!
